Broken Binding race results

Stillwater Mountain Lodge and Nordic Center hosted the Great American Broken Binding race and tour on Feb. 21.

The race featured distances from 3.2K to a marathon length 48K and drew 53 participants ages six to 66 years.

The course took racers from the Murray Mile, around Murray Lake, out the scenic Hellroaring Highway and back.

A trio from Missoula — Mike Wolfe, Kiefer Hahn, and Zack Strong — captured first, second and third in the 48K race for men. Local skier Brenda Winkler was the women’s 48K winner.
