Violet Moller

Violet Mae Moller, 86, passed away Jan. 29, 2009, at Immanuel Lutheran Home in Kalispell, where she had lived since March 2005.

Violet was born at home on July 1, 1922, in Poplar, the only child of Richard “Dick” and Blanche Neil. Her early childhood was spent in Poplar. She also lived in Roseburg, Ore., Wolf Point and Polson.

On Nov. 22, 1945, Violet married her childhood sweetheart, J. Max Moller, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Kalispell.

Violet worked as a secretary for the Daily Inter Lake, the Kalispell Chamber of Commerce, Dr. Daniel Dernbach and Dr. James Kiley. She was a charter member of the Artists and Craftsmen of the Flathead Valley and also volunteered for many years at Kalispell Regional Medical Center.

She was a member of the Central Christian Church and enjoyed her Bible studies and circle. She was also a Lady Elk and supported her husband Max through the chairs to exalted ruler.

Violet was preceded in death by her husband Max and her parents.

She is survived by daughters Kay Plympton and husband Weldon, and Gail Hanson and husband Gary, all of Kalispell; grandchildren Jeff Plympton, of Whitefish, Paul Plympton and wife Kathy, of Kalispell, Ashlee Robison and husband David, of Columbia Falls, and Kris Hanson, at the University of Montana-Missoula; great grandchildren Bryant Plympton, of Kalispell, and Madeline and Mark Robison, of Columbia Falls; sister-in-law JoAnne Ross, of Kalispell; cousin Joan Kennedy, of Kalispell; and many other relatives and dear friends.

The family suggests donations be made to the Recreation Department at Immanuel Lutheran Home, 185 Crestline Avenue, Kalispell MT 59901; or to Home Options Hospice, 175 Commons Loop, Suite 100, Kalispell MT 59901.

Memorial services were held Feb. 7, 2009, at Immanuel Lutheran Home, with Pastor Kathie Larson Phillips officiating.
