Jensen named assistant principal at BHS, Peck out
By ALEX STRICKLAND / Bigfork Eagle
Bigfork High School Activities Director Matt Jensen will be the school's new assistant principal when classes resume on September 8. Jensen will handle all day-to-day operation of the school, according to Superintendent Russ Kinzer.
Thom Peck, who started as principal at BHS in the 2002-2003 school year, left the school last week, though the circumstances surrounding his departure are not immediately clear. Peck declined to comment on the situation to the Eagle last week on advice from his attorney.
BHS librarian Matt Porrovecchio will become an administrator, sharing AD duties with Jensen and assisting with student discipline and other duties.
Kinzer said he would act as superintendent/principal and likely spend part of each day at BHS.
Further details were not available at press time.
