Cheryl Rounds
Cheryl Grace Rounds, 65, passed away from lung cancer Oct. 22, 2008, at Harrison Medical Center, in Bremerton, Wash.
She was born in Whitefish on Sept. 19, 1943, to Harold and Grace Stinger. She attended school in Whitefish and graduated from Whitefish High School in 1961.
Cheryl married Jim Rounds on Nov. 30, 1962, in Whitefish. They moved to Bremerton in 1966, where they lived until her death.
She worked for the Bremerton School District cafeteria for three years and Neil Ness Chiropractic for five years.
Cheryl was an avid reader who loved to travel, sew and crochet. Jim and Cheryl enjoyed spending their winters in Parker, Ariz., for the past 15 years.
She is dearly loved and missed by all who were blessed to know her. Her "stingerisms" brought fun and laughter to many occasions.
She was preceded in death by her father and mother; sisters Doris LaVoy and Carolyn McConville; daughter Tina Rounds; and many friends and family members.
She is survived by her husband Jim; son Jerry Rounds, his wife Bobbi and their children Tyler and Kari, of Kalispell; sisters Ella Hill and husband Chet, of Kalispell, Joane Brousseau, of Kalispell, MaDonna Barber and husband Dale, of Yellow Bay, Marica Hunnewell and husband Jim, of Whitefish, and Carla Corbally and husband Bob, of Great Falls.
No services are planned. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be sent to the Eagle Club Aerie 192, 205 Sixth Street, Bremerton WA 98373 or a charity of one's choice.
