The Glacier Twins AA team did not end their annual home tournament, the Army/Navy Wood Bat tournament, the way they hoped. They dropped the title game 2-11 to Trail, B.C., on Monday evening to finish 2-2 in the tournament.

The Jays scored eight runs on the Twins in the fourth inning to take a commanding lead, which they never relinquished.

The Twins had beaten Trail 5-4 one day earlier off a single from Wayde Martinson into left field in the bottom of the seventh inning.

The Twins were down two runs with the bases loaded when Martinson stepped to the plate. The count was 2-2 when he ripped his three-RBI single. Bridger Beach had two doubles and two RBIs for the Twins in that game.

Scott Yogodzinski led the Twins at-bat in Monday night's title game, going 2-for-4. Beach went 2-for-3, and Scott Palmer went 1-for-4 with a triple.

Glacier's Willie Roche was named MVP of the tournament.

On Friday to kick off the tournament, the Twins beat the Libby Loggers 7-4. They dropped a game 4-6 to the Cranbrook, B.C., Bandits on Saturday.

The Twins have their conference opener when they host the Missoula Mavericks AA on Sunday at 1:30 p.m. at Memorial Park in Whitefish.
