An 18-year-old Columbia Falls man suffered siginficant, but not life-threatening injuries three-vehicle crash on Highway 206 on Thursday (July 24).

A southbound Suburban had stopped to make a left hand turn and a pickup truck stopped behind it. Roddy Hill apparently didn't see the vehicles had stopped and the pickup he was driving ran into the truck in the middle. No one else was seriously injured, but Hill's rig flipped and went into the ditch, according to the Montana Highway Patrol. The patrol said Hill may have been distracted by a large group of motorcycles being ridden through the area just before the wreck.

Hill was taken to Kalispell Regional Medical center via ALERT helicopter. Responding to the scene were Three Rivers Ambulance and Bad Rock and Columbia Falls firefighters. A woman who was a nurse and happened to be near the wreck was the first to treat Hill.
