Guidotta Bourne, 94, at Aromas, California on December 19, 2008.

Widow of W. Clinton Bourne (1989), mother of Joy (deceased 2007), Walter (Ruth), David (deceased 1995 - widow Brenda) and Terry (Mary).  Grandmother of Seth, Matthew, Ty, Jessica, Sara and Thomas and great grandmother of eight, with one great great grandchild.  A long time resident of Bigfork, Montana and recently Salinas.  She was born in Wisconsin and grew up on the Colorado plains.  She and Clint lived and traveled throughout the West (Colorado, Nebraska, Montana, and the Dakotas) for twenty years and then at various places around the world (El Salvador, Korea, Argentina, Chile, Tanzania) for another twenty years before retiring to Bigfork.

A mother and an artist, her children remember her creating a wonderful and welcoming home wherever she lived, and imaginative leather crafts, embossed copper, oil paintings and rubbings.  Well-loved and popular with many friends and neighbors throughout the world, she will be deeply missed by all and especially her sons and daughters-in-law.  Where would we have been without her?

A memorial service will be held at Grace Community Church, 750 Paradise Road, Prunedale, CA 93907 on Sunday, December 21 at 3:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to the “David Bourne Memorial Fund” or the “Aletha Joy Bourne Gilsdorf READ2KIDS Fund” which may be made in care of Grace Community Church.
