Martha Marie (Harrison) Schmechel

Martha Marie (Harrison) Schmechel died of leukemia on Tuesday, April 8, 2008, at her home in Midwest City, Okla. At her side were her daughter Randy and her granddaughter Kim (Hoffman) Beakeley.

Martha was born in Whitefish on May 25, 1921, and married Ozmun Schmechel in January 1940. Ozmun preceded her in death in June of 1995, as did their daughter Robyn Hoffman in October 1994. When her health began to fail last year she moved to Oklahoma to be with her daughter, despite leaving a host of wonderful friends.

Martha leaves behind her daughter, Randy; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
