Mailer inflamed the public

Tim Grattan's letter to the Sept. 20 Pilot was remarkable in its arrogance. Perhaps we should be grateful he chose to sign his work this time.
As if it's not enough to cheapen the public debate with a glossy anonymous mailing, he has the gall to claim, "The constituents have spoken."
No one has spoken except for landowners and developers inflamed by a shadowy mailing financed by rich part-time residents.
What other tricks are up the sleeves of Grattan and his buddies as the elections draw closer?
To the city, please listen. The fact that Mr. Grattan inflamed a bunch of local property owners with his nasty little mailing should not be construed as a mandate.
Do what is right to protect critical areas for all of us.
