Homecoming thanks

| October 11, 2007 11:00 PM

We want to thank the Whitefish Community for their support during Homecoming week. The turnout for all of the week's events was fantastic.

The pep rally and bonfire on Monday kicked off the week, and the high school students really participated in the hall decorations, dress-up days and spirit competitions at the powder puff football game on Friday.

Another thanks to all of the community members that attended the sporting events during the week.

Congratulations to Beverly and Gary Elliott at Rocky Mountain Images for winning the Best Business Decoration contest. Start thinking about next year if your business didn't participate this year.

We would also like to thank the following businesses and individuals for their support and donations: Midway Rental, Reimer Family; Coca Cola; Courtney and Company Photography, Jill Courtney; Stumptown Arts Studio, Ceramics Annex; Westside Cenex, Frank Barnes; Whitefish Credit Union, Charlie Abell; and the Class of 1958 for helping with hall decorations.

The week could not have gone as well without the support and energy of the PTA and CARE and the parents who decorated for the sporting events. The PTA, headed by Stephanie Kenkel, and CARE, headed by Michelle Kuntz, helped organize many of the events of the week and their work made a huge difference.

A major thank you goes out to the Denise Luke and the Whitefish Funseekers Corvette and Yacht Club for providing their cars for the royalty at the football game. This group has provided the vehicles for several years, which is greatly appreciated.
