CARE grateful

| October 4, 2007 11:00 PM

On Sept. 5, Whitefish CARE sponsored the Back to School Bash out at Smith Fields. Whitefish CARE's mission is to promote healthy lifestyles for our youth and our community. The Bash had something for everyone, and we want to thank all those businesses, groups and individuals who helped make this event such a success.

Thank you Sportsman & Ski Haus, Quickies, Buffalo Cafe, Imagination Station, Sage Spa and Salon, 33 Baker Salon, Beargrass Gardens, Whitefish Lake Restaurant, Whitefish High School football team, Tupelo Grill and Whitefish Mountain Resort for your generous donations of items and gift certificates raffled off as a fundraiser for Whitefish CARE.

We would like to thank Whitefish Mountain Resort, Full Throttle Entertainment & Celebrate (Midway Rental) for providing some fantastic entertainment, and Rocky Mountain Images, Super 1 Foods, First Presbyterian Church, our local fire department and our police department for their help and donations in creating a wonderful event.

The support from the schools was incredible and a big thank you needs to be given to Jerry House, Kerry Drown, Kent Paulson, Jeff Peck and Jill Rocksund for personally attending the event. Thanks also to Dale Duff for the bus shuttle service for the middle school students. Thank you to the Whitefish Pilot and Bee Broadcasting for promoting this event.

Our entire community is involved in shaping and encouraging our young people. Thank you to all who attended the Back to School Bash.

Thank you to the Whitefish CARE board members who gave of themselves fully for this event and to the 39 groups who had booths and activities out at the fields.

Let us all continue to show our young people that we value them by getting to know them by name, creating safe neighborhoods and supporting our schools. We all can make a huge difference in the lives of the future generations.
