Daffodil Days was great

| March 22, 2007 11:00 PM

Spring bloomed early in Whitefish this year as we painted our community yellow with daffodils. The overwhelming support that Whitefish residents, businesses and volunteers showed to support the American Cancer Society Daffodil Days was incredible.

Our heartfelt thanks go out to everyone who participated in this important campaign to raise money to fight cancer and provide hope to all people facing the disease.

It is heartwarming to know that so many of our fellow residents are dedicated to the Society's efforts to prevent cancer, save lives and support groundbreaking research.

Thank you to our volunteers for all their time working "in the fields" and community and businesses who purchased flowers for their homes and/or offices or donated flowers to area hospitals and health care facilities.

This year, more than 1,850 daffodils were given in exchange for donations, raising more than $7,000.

Together, Whitefish is making a difference in the fight against cancer.
