The Bigfork Land Use Advisory Committee will hold a public workshop on Thursday, March 8 at 10 a.m. to present the completed Bigfork Neighborhood Plan. The Bethany Lutheran library will serve as the “signing room.”
Members of BLUAC and the Bigfork Steering Committee will sign the document and then hand the plan over to the county for review and public comment.
After the workshop, the Bigfork Steering Committee (BSC) will hold its regularly scheduled meeting at noon in the church basement. The second Thursday of every month is designated as a community forum, where members from numerous organizations can come and share what their groups are working to accomplish.
The community forum is a good way for everyone to stay on the same page and provide a more unified sense of purpose among Bigfork’s numerous volunteer organizations.
Flathead County Commissioner Joe Brenneman will also attend the BSC meeting. Last week, Brenneman asked for a list of possible topics people would like him to address. The topics include storm water problems with new construction and better sharing of information between the county and Bigfork when the county is making decisions concerning this area.
Lake County Commissioner Mike Hutchins and Lake County Planning Director Sue Shannon will also attend the meeting.
