Concert series

The Lions Club concert series continues tonight (Thursday) at Marantette Park with Al and Bonnie Lindberg and the Flathead Band.

Concerts begin at 8 p.m. each Thursday. Donations of $3 and $5 per family are suggested to help with concert expenses. A door prize will be awarded after each concert. Next week, Aug. 2 will be the Rocky Mountain Rhythm Kings.

Golf scramble set

The annual Wildcat Athletic Endowment Association golf scramble is July 29 at the Glacier View Golf Course, West Glacier, and begins at 9 a.m. Register early to reserve your team space. Boogie to the Bank

Register early for Boogie to the Bank race at Heritage Days. Registration forms are available at Glacier Bank and at www.active.com. Sponsors are the bank and Lions Club.

3-on-3 hoops

The Columbia Falls Chamber of Commerce and the Kiwanis Club host the annual 3-on-3 Heritage Days basketball tourney July 28. Categories range from 5-6th grade boys and girls to the Men's Open. Registration forms can be picked up at Orthopedic Rehab on U.S. Highway 2, Glacier Bank in Columbia Falls, the city library or by calling 892-0681.

Parades slated

The Heritage Days Parade starts at noon July 28 with line-up at 11 a.m. A Kiddie Parade starts at 10:30 a.m.

Road committee

Flathead County is looking for folks interested in serving on a road advisory committee. There are two at large members and one member from each commissioner district. Terms will overlap. Letters of interest should be addressed to: Flathead County Commissioners, 800 South Main St. Kalispell, MT 59912.

Class of ‘77 event

The Class of 1977 will be gathering for a no-host social between 6 and 9 p.m. on Friday, July 27 at the Columbia Bar. On Saturday, classmates will gather for a barbecue dinner at 136 Larch Hill Drive at 6 p.m. Please call Jim Cheff at 892-3682 for further information.

Horsemen meet

The Back Country Horsemen of the Flathead will hold its regular monthly meeting on Tuesday, August 14, 2007, at 7:30 p.m., at the Fish, Wildlife and Parks Building, located at 490 North Meridian Road (across from the Fairgrounds). The meeting is open to the public and all are welcome.
