Glacier Twins A go 1-1 with Loggers

The Glacier Twins split a pair of games with the Libby Loggers July 3 at Memorial Field in Whitefish.

The Twins scraped by the Loggers 11-10 in the first game, won largely off a clutch two run home run by David FauntLeRoy in the sixth inning.

The second game didn't go quite as well for the Twins, as the Loggers redeemed their close loss by taking an early lead and never letting go. They won the game decisively 12-3.

The series moves Glacier to 11-17 overall and 4-4 in Western A Conference action. Their next game is July 9 in Noxon at 1 p.m.

Glacier 11, Libby 10

David FauntLeRoy saved his team by ripping a two run homer in the sixth inning to give his team a one point lead.

Wade Martinson, shortstop for the Twins, led his team by going 2-for-3 with a double and a single.

Cody Elek went 1-for-2, Adam Pisk went 2-for-3 with four RBIs.

FauntLeRoy went 1-for-3 with a home run.

Jeff Streeter went 1-for-3, Kyle Yogodzinski went 3-for-4 with two singles.

Will Beasley went 1-for-2.

No other statistics were available as of press time.

Glacier 3, Libby 12

The game was iced by the third inning, when Libby went on a six run tear. By the bottom of the sixth inning, after the Loggers got a double play to close out the inning, the Twins had run out of steam.

Wade Martinson went 2-for-3, Jack Cronin went 1-for-2, Adam Pisk went 1-for-3, David FauntLeRoy went 1-for-3, Jeff Streeter went 0-for-1, Kyle Yogodzinski went 0-for-1, Will Beasley went 1-for-3, Kyle Knox went 0-for-3, and Cody Elek went 2-for-2.
