Girls win big over Ronan 63-48

The Lady Bulldogs hustled for four solid quarters and bucked Ronan during last Friday's home game, winning 63-48.
The girls dominated the contest, leading by as much as 12 points during the second quarter, leading by 18 points in the third, and closing the game with a 15-point lead.
It was the Lady Bulldogs' third win, putting the team's record at 3-7 (3-3). Ronan now stands at 2-7 (1-5).
The girls maintained high double-digit scores across all four quarters, while Ronan did well in the first and fourth quarters but stumbled in the second and third quarters.
Junior guard Ashley Ferda scored 19 points and went 4-6 with free-throws. Teammate Dana Labuda nearly matched Ferda in scoring with 18 points and went 2-3 in free-throws. Senior guard Kali Schmidt scored nine points.
The Whitefish girls made 53 percent of their free-throw shots, compared to 47 percent for Ronan.
The girls will play away games against Flathead High School (7-3, 4-1) on Thursday (today) and against Polson (4-6, 3-3) on Friday. Earlier in the season, the Lady Bulldogs beat Libby 55-45 and lost to Kalispell 74-43.
