Unruly ski dogs need control

| January 4, 2007 11:00 PM

Recently at the lower Autumn Creek trailhead, I saw a party of skiers exiting Glacier Park with not one, not two, but an entire pack of four unruly dogs.

In addition to being thoughtless and rude to resident wildlife and fellow skiers, that illegal act also created an instant hazard on a dangerous corner of U.S. Highway 2.

Let's give the skiers the benefit of the doubt and assume that this was simple ignorance rather than a knowingly illegal act.

If any member of that party should happen to be reading this letter, please right your wrongful ways before someone gets hurt or killed — including the animals.

This would also be a good time to teach the kids who were with you that this is not the way to respect our national treasures.
