Barbara Conners

Barbara A. Conners, 81, passed away peacefully at her home on Whitefish Lake on Dec. 21, 2007.

Barbara enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family and friends. She was a champion of Native American people and their concerns for healthcare and education.

She was known for her warm, loving and most generous nature and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Barbara is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, John Conners; children Patti Conners, of Kennewick Wash., Tom Conners and wife Jan, of Great Falls, Doug Conners and wife Linda, of Kalispell, John Conners and wife Sue, of Whitefish, Jeff Conners and wife Barbara, of Windsor, Calif., and Mike Conners and wife Tracy, of Kalispell, 17 grandchildren; three great grandchildren; sisters Patricia Lough, of Vacaville, Calif., and Dorothy Jones, of Great Falls; numerous nieces and nephews; and family friends.

A mass will be held to celebrate Barbara's life on Thursday, Dec. 27, 2007 at 11 a.m. at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Whitefish, with Rev. Pat Patton officiating. Burial will follow at Whitefish Cemetery.

The family suggests memorial donations in lieu of flowers and may be made in Barbara's name to a charity of the donor's choice.
