A vote for Burns

Over the course of the next few weeks, the public will be bombarded with political advertising. A huge amount of time, effort, and money will be spent to get candidates elected to many offices. As we carefully consider how we will vote, we need to get beyond the rhetoric and be certain that the right candidates are put into office for the good of all of us.

It is difficult, if not impossible, to find any one candidate who completely agrees with our own personal philosophies. We need to look beyond the candidate and consider the big picture. We need to ask ourselves what will the consequences be if the wrong candidate is elected.

The race for the United States Senate is perhaps the single most important race in Montana this election cycle. There is so much at stake with this one race. The balance of the Senate is at stake. If Conrad Burns is not reelected what will the vote be for the next Supreme Court appointment? If Conrad Burns is not reelected what will the vote be when immigration is the issue? If Conrad Burns is not reelected what will the vote be after the next terrorist attack?

Take the time to be an informed voter. Think about the importance of your vote. Make the right choice. Do the right thing. Send Conrad Burns back to Washington DC one more time.
