Steven Laxson

Steven E. Laxson, 56, looked forward to meeting his maker, and his day came when he sustained a severe heart attack on Sept. 5, 2006.

Steve was born in Southern California to Edward and Betty Laxson. Ever the artist, he created livable art with his unique architectural home designs.

In 1992, he fulfilled his lifelong dream of living in the mountains and relocated to Whitefish. Steve recently completed the design and construction of his dream home.

He is survived by the loves of his life, his wife Paula, his daughters Elissa Cappis and Kristin Laxson, sons Rand Laxson and Sterling Laxson, and son-in-law Ramon Cappis. In addition, he is survived by his brothers Lon Laxson and Glenn Laxson, and his father Edward Laxson.

Services were held at the First Baptist Church in Whitefish on Sept. 9, 2006.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the American Heart Association.
