Support for Jackson

I support Verdell Jackson for Senate District #5. During his tenure as State Representative, Verdell has proven himself to be a strong advocate for the law enforcement community and our criminal justice system. In an era when criminals are able to operate behind an electronic mask, the criminal statutes of our state must rapidly catch up with the global economy and crime.

I have worked with many of our elected officials, using my law enforcement background as a resource. In that capacity I have come to appreciate Verdell Jackson for his sponsorship and support of a variety of criminal law statutes designed to aid our law enforcement officers. Verdell Jackson has also supported the seriously under funded Department of Corrections which is the only agency charged with the duty to keep the criminals out of our homes and workplaces.

I know Verdell Jackson to be a man of high ethical standards and strong family values. As Senator, I believe Verdell will continue in his efforts to improve working conditions for law enforcement and provide the tools needed to help make our rapidly growing community safe.
