Tree disaster

The tree removal just completed in the Greenwood Trailer Court just south of the North Valley Hospital is a disgrace to the city of Whitefish.

One would think there would be a city ordinance in place where only rational removal of trees would be allowed by the permitting process.

I now understand the city had no control over this tree removal. Certainly, this deficiency should be corrected immediately by the City Council.

I treasure the beauty of Whitefish and find it unbelievable that our city can't get it together to avoid such an environmental disaster.

Thank you for your Nov. 9 story on this outrage, and please keep the pressure on the City Council until this situation is rectified.
