Meehan for sheriff

Well, it's that time again, so remember to vote on June 6. I am going to vote for Mike Meehan.

Sheriff Jim Dupont did a great job at building us a sheriff's department that we can trust and be very proud of. Now, to build such a sheriffs office was a lot of hard work and time to get it there. After one has done the job, you don't just want anybody in there, you want someone with the same honesty, integrity and, the most important thing, experience.

There is a thing that is called an "it factor." Everyone has it in them. The trick is to find it in you. For some, it is a singer, reporter or baseball player. Dupont has it, and so does Meehan. And I do believe that Mike, as well as Dupont, will be as caring when he has to and tough when he has to.

I just wish that we could vote for our own police chief in our little towns. I also will not vote for or endorse anyone who is or will be running for any state or county seat if they have been on the Whitefish City Council. And I go back to anyone from 1999 and on. So beware and vote smart.
