Snyder's work will be missed

| May 10, 2006 11:00 PM

I am writting to publically thank Paul Syder for all that he did for Whitefish over the past few years.

Paul and his wife Ann have moved to Great Falls and we are poorer for it. Paul was a quiet servant, putting up the flags with the Kiwanis Club, and tirelessly working on projects for the Historical Society.

Without Paul's efforts, we would not have Great Northern locomotive 181 gracing the north end of Central Avenue or the Bruck to the east of the Depot. There would not be a walking tour with historical plaques on our wonderful downtown buildings, and the Depot would not be on the National Register of Historic places.

There's more, much more, but it becomes just a big list because Paul never stopped "doing" for many organizations and everyone he knew.

On behalf of the board and members of the Stumptown Historical Society, thanks Paul, we miss you every day.
