Paul Dickson Kent passed away June 8, 2006, at Kalispell Regional Medical Center of head injuries sustained in a bicycle accident. His wife Sheri (Rosie) and her sister Mary Hartman, daughter Alice, grandson Shane and son-in-law Bill Madsen were at his side.

Paul was born in Osage City, Kan., on Aug. 18, 1928, to Frederick and Violet (Dickson) Kent. He graduated from high school in Neihart and then enlisted in the U.S. Army in June 1947. He was honorably discharged in November 1948.

Skills learned in the Army landed him a job with Amtrak, working in Washington and Montana. After retiring from Amtrak in Centralia, Wash., Paul and Sheri moved to Colorado and worked for Quicksilver and Sears. He also managed Bradley Petroleum Inc. with his wife Sheri and the help of many family members.

Paul and Sheri moved back to Montana in 2002 to help care for Sheri's mother, Rachael Frostad, who is in Colonial Manor, in Whitefish. Paul had also worked for the Daily Inter Lake and at the Whitefish Mall. Paul was a member of the Elks and Moose lodges and enjoyed coin collecting, bowling, dancing, country music and visiting his beloved family and friends. We will all miss him very much.

Paul is preceded in death by his parents, brothers Fred and Ted Kent, and Sheri's son Darvin Zebroski.

Paul married Alice Summer-land in August 1952 and is survived by his daughter Alice Mae Madsen and husband Bill and their son Shane Madsen and wife Jessica, all of Missoula.

On April 3, 1986, Paul married Sheri Zebroski, and he is survived by her and her children Tami Crossen and husband Mike and their children Michael, Shayli and Harli; son Robbie Zebroski and wife Michelle and their children Mason, Justin, Shianne, Talon, Sami and Zoey; son Cassen Zebroski and wife Kelly; daughter-in-law Kim Zebroski and her children Cassie and husband Phil, Missy and fiancee Stephen and Jessy; great grandchildren Cierra, Timothy and Josiah, all of Colorado.

Additional surviving family includes sisters Violet Hayes and husband George, Mary Solseng, Ione Landon and husband Gary, all of Minnesota, Norma Battles and husband David, of Oregon, Dela Jones, and Sally Jasper and husband Mort, all of Minnesota; and several nieces and nephews.

The family requests no flowers. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, June 24, 2006, at 11 a.m. at the Moose Lodge in Whitefish. A luncheon will follow.
