Twins season wraps up this week

After losing the first three games of the Sapa-Johnsrud tournament in Whitefish by large margins, the Glacier Twins rallied to a fourth place finish by wining the final two games of the touney.
In round-robin games leading up to the playoffs, the Spokane Blue Devils routed the Twins 20-7 , as did the Calgary and the Williston N.D. teams in their 15-5 and 14-4 win over th Twins.
But on Friday and Saturday, the Twins, who have been in a slump for the last quarter of the season, caught some wind in their sails, first by defeating Calgary 10-6 and then by taking down Redmond, Ore. 5-4 to take fourth place in the tournament.
In the Twins' 10-6 win over Calgary, the Twins came back from a 5-2 margin by scoring four runs in the bottom of the fifth inning and sixth innings.
The Twins earned their 10 runs on eight hits, with six different players getting a piece of the ball. Byron Whtcomb and Doug Cuffe each had two hits and two RBIs in the game.
In the Twins game against Redmond, Glacier's Jarred Krueger hit in the tying two runs in the bottom of the seventh and teammate Rusty Hill hit a single that sent Kruegger to home plate for the 5-4 win win.
After the tournament, the Twins played two tough Great Falls teams, losing four games in a row
On Sunday, The Great Falls Electrics downed the twins 17-2 and 10-7 in a doubleheader in Great Falls.
On Monday, the Great Falls Stallions defeated the Twins in similiar fashion. In the first game, Great Falls' pitcher Jason Oatman allowed only one hit in the Stallions' 13-0 shutout against the Twins. That game lasted five innnigs due to the 10-run rule. Stallions hitter Zach Griffith batted 3-4, knocking in a single, doulble and a triple. Twin's pitcher Brad Bell recorded the only hit for the Twins in the game.
In game two of the second doubleheader, the Stallions returned from a 3-1 deficeit to win the game 14-4.
The Twins allowed 17 hits and commited 7 errors in the game. Jared Krueger and Brad Bell recorded the Twins only hits in the game.
On Tuesday nighth, the Twins played the Kalispell Laker at Griffin Field in Kalispell during the last away game of the season. The results weren't available as of press time.
The Twins finish their season this week with five home games. The Twins play a doubleheader against the Lethbridge Elks on Thursday at 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. On Saturday, the Twins take on the Kalispell Lakers at 1:00 p.m. On Saturday, the Twins finish their season with a doubleheader against the Medicine Hat Moose Monarchs at 1:00 and 3:00 p.m. at Memorial Field in Whitefish.
