Kevin Wille

Kevin Gerard Wille, 39, of Whitefish, formally of Guttenberg, Iowa, died June 19, 2006, in his home as a result of a massive heart attack.

Kevin was born May 17, 1967, in Dubuque, Iowa, the son of Lawrence and Margaret (Vaske) Wille.

He attended St. Mary's Catholic grade school and graduated in 1985 from Guttenberg Community High School, in Guttenberg, Iowa. In 1987, Kevin earned a degree in marketing from Loras College, in Dubuque. He then lived and worked in Chicago for C.H. Robinson Co., and soon after was transferred to his dream location, Whitefish.

Kevin had a great love of the outdoors, including hunting, fishing, boating/swimming and snow skiing. He was devoted to his pet dogs, which were his constant companions. Kevin was an avid reader and gardener. He was a huge Viking and Iowa Hawkeye fan.

He was preceded in death by his father, his brother Dean Wille, and his nephew Kevin Cates (infant).

Those left to cherish his memory are his mother; sisters Diane Miller and husband Gary, of South Jordan, Utah, Sharon Cates and husband Shawn, of Poulsbo, Wash., Sandy Ortman and husband Todd, of Brush Prairie, Wash., and Laura Mann and husband David, of West Des Moines, Iowa; brothers Larry Wille and wife Pam, and Richard Wille, both of Guttenberg, and Duane Wille, of Dubuque; and many nieces and nephews.

A funeral mass was held at St. Mary's Catholic Church, in Guttenberg, on July 17, 2006, with Rev. Marvin Bries officiating. An inurned burial at Mount Olivet Cemetery followed the service.
