Emptying the parking lots

The purpose of this letter is to both challenge and encourage you to help lead a local conservation effort this summer.

The idea is simple — on Sunday morning, July 30, congregations all over the Flathead Valley will arrive at their churches by walking with their families, riding bicycles with neighbors, sharing a ride with a friend or perhaps riding a church bus if available.

By participating in this local effort, churches would set a wonderful example of conservation, of polluting a little less, discouraging waste and encouraging everyone to see the wisdom of frugality.

I sincerely hope your church will participate in this valleywide conservation effort to "fill the sanctuaries and empty the parking lots."
