Defining a hero

"Service is the rent we pay for the space we occupy in this life," was a favorite saying of the late Frank Morrison. It was the way he lived his life.

Frank was a former Montana Supreme Court justice and partner in a Whitefish law firm who used his talents to help the "little guy."

He was a man dedicated to his wife and family. And if we define a hero as one who is unafraid to fight for truth, justice and the rights of the people of this nation, Frank was truly an American hero.

He loved our country, yet it went even deeper. He had what seemed like boundless energy, willing to speak practically anywhere to any group, no matter how small, about the preciousness of our nation and the laws that govern our land.

From his many contributions, our town is a better place, our state is greater, and our country has lost a hero. So long Frank, we will miss you. You are gone too soon.
