Walter Arthur Little

Walter Arthur Little, age 69, passed away on Sunday, Jan. 8, 2006 at his residence in Bigfork. He was born on July 21, 1936 at Valparaiso, Ind., the son of Theodore Haige and Viola Grace (Carter) Little.

He attended schools and graduated from Poly Tech High School in Riverside, Calif. He attended one year of college and enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1955. On June 25, 1959 he was united in marriage to Thea in Bremerhaven, Germany. Following his retirement after 20 years from the Navy, he began work for the Federal Communications Commission retiring after 18 years of service.

He was a Ham radio operator, an avid hunter and fisherman; enjoyed reading, health and fitness. He was a 32nd Degree Mason, a member of the Scottish Rite and was a lifetime member of the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation.

He is survived by his wife of 46 years Thea Little of Bigfork; two daughters, Marilyn Grace Poshak and husband Gary of San Antonio, Texas; and Katherine Ann Guthrie and husband Tod of Bigfork; and three grandchildren, Charles Poshak and Chelsea and Shelby Guthrie.

Memorial services for Walter will be held on Thursday, Jan. 12, 2006 at 2 p.m., at the Swan River Hall in Bigfork, with Pastor Jim Holeman officiating. There will be no visitation.
