Joel Gimbel

Joel Alto Gimbel, 64, formally of Columbia Falls, passed away in Rock Springs, Wyo., on Dec. 29, 2005.

He was born March 5, 1941 to Al and Janice (Grubb) Gimbel, in Missoula.

Joel was preceded in death by his parents; an infant daughter, Heather; and longtime friend Nona Farr.

He is survived by one son Joel and wife Wanda, of Valier; daughters Jodi, of Valley, Wash., and Melody, of Choteau; grandchildren Kristopher, Joshua, Misty, Angela and Billy; great grandson Lucus; brothers Don and wife Gerry, in Columbia Falls, and Frank and wife Linda, in Colorado Springs, Colo.; sisters Marge May and husband Bert, of Whitefish, and Claudette Mills, of Spokane, Wash.

He will be missed by many friends and relatives.

Memorial services were held in Rocks Springs, Who., on Jan 5, 2006.

Joel wanted to come "home to Montana" for his services in Whitefish.

Gravesite services will be at noon on Saturday, Jan. 14, 2006.
