Evelyn Janicke

Evelyn Janicke, age 89, passed away Dec. 12, 2006, at Immanuel Lutheran Home in Kalispell.

She was born Oct. 21, 1917 in Wannaska, Minn., to John and Emma Johnson. She was the oldest of six children.

Evelyn enjoyed cooking and became a reputable cook in some of the finer restaurants in Whitefish and Libby. She also enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing cards and just being with her family.

The family would like to give our heart-felt thanks to her grandson Justin and wife Cindy for their love and care given to our mom and grandma.

She was preceded in death by her husband Frank Janicke, daughter Arlene Wheat and three brothers.

She is survived by sons Wayne Janicke, Frank Janicke Jr. and Kenneth Janicke; sister Marlene O'Brien and husband George, of Minnesota; brother Jack Johnson and wife Judy, of Martin City; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

Graveside services for Evelyn were held Dec. 15, 2006, at Woodlawn Cemetery in Columbia Falls.
