Mass

St. Richard's Catholic Church will celebrate a Christmas candlelight mass at 7 p.m. Dec. 24 with mass at 10 a.m. Christmas day.

Community Choir

The Columbia Falls Community Choir will begin practices Jan. 7 from 2-4 p.m. Sundays at the Columbia Falls Junior High. Sign-in and music pickup is from 1:30 to 2 p.m. at the first practice. There are 12 practices this year, with the final rehearsal March 30. For more information, call 892-5174.

GOP women

The Glacier Country Pachyderm meeting will be held from noon to 1 p.m. at the Bulldog in Kalispell Friday Dec. 15.

TU Christmas

Flathead Valley Chapter of Trout Unlimited meets for Christmas at 7:30 p.m. on Dec. 19 at the Bohemian Grange Hall south of Whitefish behind Montana Coffee Traders.

Early release

The following is the early release schedule for Friday, Dec. 22 at School District Six:

Glacier Gateway: 1:05 p.m.

High School: 1:15 p.m. Junior High: 1:21 p.m.

Ruder: 1:25 p.m.

Canyon: 1:30 p.m.

School will resume on Tuesday, Jan. 2.

Canyon concert

Canyon Elementary will host its all-school holiday program on Dec. 15 at 1 p.m.

Ruder concerts

Ruder Elementary students will perform holiday concerts on Dec. 20 and 21. Kindergarten classes will perform at 9:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. on Dec. 20. The same day at 10:15 a.m. first through third grade will perform. On Dec. 21 at 10 a.m. fourth and fifth grades will perform.

Gateway concerts

Glacier Gateway Elementary will have its holiday concerts on Dec. 21 at the high school's Little Theater. Performances will be at 9:15 a.m., 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. One or two of each grade will perform at each time. Programs include singing and instrumental performances.

Deer Park concert

Deer Park School will have its holiday program on Dec. 19 at 7 p.m. Kindergarten through sixth grade will perform.

W. Glacier concert

West Glacier Elementary is hosting its holiday program on Dec. 19 at 6:30 p.m. Students will play carols with recorders and sing. Afterwards hot chocolate and cookies will be served.

GMS dinner

The Glacier Mountaineering Society winter potluck is at 6 p.m. Jan. 27 at the Bohemian Grange Hall south of Whitefish. Brian Miller will present a slide show on his solo of the Pacific Crest trail in 1993.
