Cal Ripken team gives it their all

It was a great pleasure to be in Eugene, Ore., this past week to watch the 11-year-old state champion Cal Ripken baseball team in action.

Whitefish can be proud of coaches Eric May, Kevin Slaybaugh and Blair LaGrandeur, the team of exceptional young men and the top-notch parent following.

Again, the businesses and residents rallied around their efforts to raise funds for their trip. Being from the smallest participating town was never a factor, as these boys played with everything they had and then some.

Thanks for the experience, and we're so proud of all of you.
