| August 3, 2006 11:00 PM

William J. "Pete" Kennedy, age 92, passed away July 24, 2006 at Colonial Manor in Whitefish, Montana. He was born July 26, 1913 in Kansas City, Missouri to William A. and Marie (Feeney) Kennedy.

Pete was the oldest of three brothers. He later moved to Frankfort, Kansas where his father had a car dealership. His uncles started a bank in the same town. Pete trained glider pilots for missions over Germany during WWll. After the war, Pete and his wife Ginny moved several times but lived mostly in Las Vegas, NV, where Pete worked for several large famous casinos. Pete retired from that line of work and he and his wife owned and operated a Dairy queen across the street form a large High school in Las Vegas. While working there Pete and Ginny "adopted" several students and helped them along the way. Not having any children of their own they thoroughly enjoyed teens. They eventually sold the Dairy Queen and retired to Bigfork Montana and enjoyed many friends and faithfully attended the Catholic Church in Bigfork. Pete always had a smile and a kind word to say. He will be missed.

Memorial Mass was held Thurs July 27, 2006 at 9:00 AM at Pope John Paul Catholic Church in Bigfork, Montana. Burial will be at Woodlawn City Cemetery in Las Vegas, NV at a later date.

Johnson Mortuary & Crematory is caring for Pete's family.
