Time again to Clean The Fish
Now that spring is here, garbage once hidden by snow is appearing on the streets of Whitefish. That means it's time for the annual Clean The Fish community clean-up.
Volunteers will gather at the Glacier Bank parking lot at 8:30 a.m. on Earth Day, April 22, for a continental breakfast. Organizers will then hand out garbage bags and area maps for volunteers to use.
Individuals, families, organizations and clubs are all invited to help clean up and get Whitefish looking pristine for the summer season. Areas to be cleaned include downtown, residential neighborhoods, local parks and around the new bicycle paths.
After the clean-up, the bank will host a barbecue, starting at 11:30 a.m. Prizes will be given away, including a mountain bike and a gift certificate at a local nursery.
