Eternally grateful

We, the family and friends of Seamus Daley would like to thank all of the people who have responded to the tragedy on Friday, April 7, on Whitefish Lake, and everyone who has been of assistance since the boating accident.

The response of the Whitefish police, fire and ambulance crews were amazing as they looked after the survivors at the scene and saw them safely to Kalispell Regional Medical Center, where they received excellent care from the hospital staff. We are grateful for the firefighters and divers who searched Friday night for Seamus.

We would like to thank Whitefish Police chief William Dial and the Flathead County Sheriff's Office, who took control of the situation, made all the necessary contacts to ensure the safety of all involved and organized the search.

Thank you to the Flathead County Search and Rescue team and the Mission Swan Search and Rescue team who participated in the search. We are grateful for the divers and other rescue personnel who volunteered their time and expertise in the search for Seamus.

We realize that many of you came at a moment's notice and at your expense to do what you could to help us. It warms our heart to know that there are people like you in this world who respond so generously to people in need.

We are grateful to Gene Ralston, the environmental consultant who specializes in assisting water-related search and rescue teams. Where all other means of locating Seamus failed, Gene and Sandy were able to locate and rescue the body of our loved one. For this, we will be eternally grateful.
