In need

| September 22, 2005 11:00 PM

There are a lot of dedicated volunteers in Flathead and Lake counties.

Many volunteer their time with our fire and ambulance organizations. Fire and medical services are always looking for more good volunteers and Bigfork Fire and Ambulance is no different.

We need more help. If you are interested in volunteering contact Bigfork Fire and Ambulance personnel by stopping at the hall Monday through Friday or call 837-4590.

A great entry level class for those wishing to be part of the ambulance team is the EMT-First Responder class.

Flathead County EMS will be offering an EMT-First Responder class this fall. There will be an information class/introduction on Monday, Sept. 26, from 6-7 p.m., at the Earl Bennett Building (Health Department).

The class begins Oct. 11 and will meet Tuesdays and Fridays from 6-10 p.m. There is no charge for this class.

For information call Flat-head County EMS, 751-8190 or 751-8191.

To be part of an ambulance transport team an ambulance endorsement is also needed. Bigfork Ambulance members will help provide this class for new members who are EMT-FR.

Thank you.
