Thomas Torgerson

Thomas (Tom) Gordon Torgerson passed away Sept. 22, 2005, at Kalispell Regional Medical Center.

He was born July 5, 1916, in Kalispell to Torger O. and Ragnald Torgerson. He was educated in Kalispell and Helena Flats schools. In the late 1930s, he went to work in the Civilian Conservation Corps. He joined the army in 1942 and was stationed at Camp Fannin, Texas.

Tom married Margaret Berglund on July 3, 1960, in Missoula. Through the years, they had one daughter, Melissa, and one son, Jason.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and eight sisters.

He is survived by his loving wife, Margaret at the family home; daughter Melissa Torgerson, of Washington; son Jason Torgerson, of Whitefish; sister-in-law Minnie Torgerson, of Olney; seven grandchildren; and many loving nieces and nephews.

At Tom's request, no services will be held. The family requests memorials be made to the Olney Ambulance.

Cremation has taken place under the directions of Austin Funeral Home.
