Food drive a success

| May 26, 2005 11:00 PM

On Saturday, May 14, 2005, the Flathead Food Bank's five pantries (Kalispell, Evergreen, Columbia Falls, Martin City and Bigfork) were the recipients of 15,272 pounds of food from the Letter Carrier's Food Drive.

This food drive came at a very important time for the food bank.

Donations typically drop off quite dramatically in the summer. The end result is that the food bank must purchase many products from local grocers.

We would like to thank all of the hard-working Letter Carriers of the Flathead Valley (with special thanks to Leroy and Kari) for making the Letter Carrier's food drive such a success!

Special thanks again to the media and our community who always come through when we need it the most!
