Security officer beaten

A Grouse Mountain Lodge security officer was severely beaten early Friday morning after investigating a noise complaint.

According to police, the victim said that two to three men attacked him from behind and began kicking and punching him. It is believed they left in a dark-colored sports car.

The security officer received a slight concussion, scrapes, cuts and bruises and was taken to the hospital, Whitefish Police Chief Bill Dial said.

At this time, no other information is available on the identity of the assailants.
