Hungry Horse trailer destroyed by Mother's Day fire
Hungry Horse News
A Hungry Horse Trailer home was destroyed by fire Sunday, though no one was injured in the blaze and a dog and its puppies also escaped harm.
The blaze broke out about 12:38 p.m. at the home of Wendy Lohre, who works as a bartender at the Dam Town Tavern.
Lohre was at work at the time of the blaze.
Hungry Horse Fire Chief Junior Nelson said the exact cause of the blaze is still under investigation, but it started in either the bedroom or the bathroom.
The fire was noticed by the neighbors. Nelson said the trailer was a total loss.
Lohre was in the process of buying the property and she lost most of her belongings. The patrons at the tavern as well as local residents were in the process of setting up a fund for her.
Anyone who wants to help can call the Dam Town Tavern at 387-5152.
Responding to the blaze were firefighters from Coram, Martin City and Hungry Horse as well as Columbia Falls.
