Donations for student health appreciated

| June 16, 2005 11:00 PM

Every year, Muldown Elementary students benefit from tremendous community support for our health enhancement program.

This winter, the Big Mountain Ski Club again made a large donation to cover the transportation costs for our third- and fourth-grade ski-and-snowboard lesson day on The Big Mountain.

In addition, the Glacier Nordic Club donated supplies and manpower to groom cross-country tracks for our cross-country ski unit.

This spring, Glacier Cyclery and The Sportsman donated bike helmets to be raffled at our helmet promotion booth at Mully Night, and also joined North Valley Hospital and Glacier Bank in the Ride Safe coupon program to provide low-cost bike helmets to all of our kids.

The Sportsman also gives us some free entries for the upcoming Whitefish Lake Run, and the Montana Trial Lawyers Association gives us free bike helmets for needy students.

The generosity of our community sets a great example for our students. Thanks, Whitefish. Your schools appreciate your support.
