Food drive a success

| June 8, 2005 11:00 PM

I wish to thank the Bigfork Postal Service and their employees who helped make this year's Postal Food Drive such a wonderful success. Without their efforts and hard work, we would not have been able to collect over 1,700 pounds of food—a major increase over last year's food drive.

You, the community, have been most gracious in your donations, and we can't thank you enough!

I also wish to thank a wonderful team of volunteers who helped deliver the food from the post office to the pantry, weigh, inspect, sort, and stock it—Lori Henes, Diana Ritter, Lee Murphy, and Ron Stuber—it could not have been accomplished so quickly and efficiently without your tremendous help!

It is such a joy to live in so small a community with such big hearts. May God bless each and every one of you in a special way for caring about your neighbors!
