Robin Waldt
Robin Lucia Waldt, 47, "went home to be with the Lord" on July 12, 2005, at her home in Whitefish.
Robin was born April 10, 1958, in Bitburg, Germany. Growing up, she lived in Bitburg, Trier and Ramstein, Germany; Plattsburg, N.Y., and Great Falls, before moving to Whitefish with her family in 1972.
Robin excelled in ballet, dancing from early in grade school through ninth grade. Her love of music of all kinds was interwoven throughout her life, including rock, reggae, bluegrass, country and classical.
She loved nature and animals and, most of all, her family. She was happiest out camping with her children and friends all around Northwest Montana.
Robin had an amazing love for the Lord and exceptional faith.
She was compassionate to a fault. Her utter selflessness manifested itself in an unparalleled level of generosity to others. She always placed herself second to them.
The first robins of spring will forever bring joy to our hearts, driving away all wintry thoughts with their songs and beauty. We have been truly blessed.
We have never known such a beautiful, kind, sweet, gentle-hearted, caring human being in all the world. Mom was there for us at all times, so kindly willing to sacrifice anything and everything. Words cannot explain the joy, love and memories Mom left for us.
Our mother, daughter, sister, aunt, companion, and best friend forever, may God be with her and bless her forever.
Robin is survived by her parents, Richard and Lucia Waldt; children Ryan Nelson, Dawn Westphal and Cody "Nikki" Waldt; brothers Rick and Ralph Waldt; nephew Ricky Waldt; nieces Spring Hagen and Suzi Colman; and numerous extended family and friends.
A memorial service was held July 18, 2005.
