Jim Stack, along with other members of the Lakeshore Protection Committee, work hard to preserve Whitefish Lake, and it is a thankless job.

Almost everyone wants some special consideration. Examples being cutting beautiful old-growth trees, building steps, dumping commercial sand and soil, and tearing out native grass and bush.

People buy here because they love the pristine and natural beauty. Why then destroy it?

Equally offensive are homeowners that jut a trampoline the size of Rhode Island out in the lake. They do not own the lake — it is public property. It's like parking a huge semi in a public playground.

Anyone that knows Lisa Stack and has worked with her on a project know that she is above reproach, and Mr. Averill made himself look foolish to insinuate otherwise.
