"Christmas at the Beach" a great success

On Dec. 17, 2004, a group of interested parents and staff came together to host a live music dance for the Whitefish High School. These people worked many long hours and deserve public recognition for all their hard work.

First off, Kent Paulson, Jeff Peck - administrators at the high school are to be commended for their positive approach to adding school spirit to our town. Without their support, none of this could have happened.

In addition, the school resource officer, George Kimerly was there from beginning to end. And a special thanks goes out to Al Dias and Billy Jean Howke, who helped us roll out the special floor tarp that was bought just for purposes like this.

Lori Forde, cheerleader extraordinaire, brought a great group of parents together to plan and organize this event: Sue Powell, Bonnie Baker, Sue LaGrander, Mary Jo Hennen, Barb Sorensen, Deb House, Tami Clowdus, Shelly Snipes and Denise Archer.

In addition, several organizations donated goods and services to be given away as door prizes: The Pin and Cue, Dairy Queen, Wrap and Go, Fun Beverages, Terry Snipes - the Culligan Man, the Bulldog and a special thank you to Chet Powell for donating several day passes for Big Mountain!

Again, "Christmas at the Beach" was a grand success because of each and every one of you. Let's hope this is the first of many events to come.
