World Day of Prayer takes place Friday, March 4, at the Klothes Kloset in Columbia Falls. Members of Church Women United are in charge of the 1:30 p.m. program.

Quilters meet

Teakettle Quilt Guild will meet on Saturday, Feb. 26, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Columbia Falls North Valley Community Center. Business meeting will take place at 10:30 a.m. Braided chevron demonstration will be at 11 a.m. Bring supplies and sewing machine. Visitors welcome. Quilt retreat will take place March 11-13. Baseball sign-ups

Columbia Falls baseball will have its annual registration for youngsters ages 5 through 19 at Glacier Gateway School on March 2 and March 9 from 2:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. each day.

Coaches need to mail their letters of intent to P.O. Box 699, Columbia Falls MT 59912 by March 9.

Also, anyone interested in leasing the concession stand should call 892-2585.

Class reunion

The 1975 Columbia Falls class reunion committee will have a meeting at 7 p.m., Feb. 22, at the North Valley Community Center. Contact Leah Levitt at 892-3613 for more information.

Divisional tickets

All session passes for the divisional basketball tournament are on sale at the Columbia Falls High School. The school has been given 200 passes. They cost $30 each. Deadline for purchase is Feb. 22. Student sections are behind the benches. No adults. General admission tickets are also on sale for $6 for adults and $4 for students per session.The tournament begins Feb. 23.

Lincoln Day dinner

Flathead County Republicans will hold their Lincoln Day dinner Feb. 26 at the Outlaw Inn. Social hour is at 6 p.m. and dinner is at 7 p.m. Tickets and reservations for the dinner can be obtained from Craig Witte, 257-1259; Norm DeForrest, 756-0543; Dianne Treece, 756-0016; Mitzi Anderson, 862-6357; and Shirley Nalty, 257-7639. Menu is select Montana prime rib. Sen. Conrad Burns is the keynote speaker.

Student of the week

Brandon Hackman, a freshman at Columbia Falls High School, is student of the week of Feb. 14. He was nominated because he is an enthusiastic learner and is pleasant and courteous. Brandon is the son of Elizabeth Hackman of West Glacier and receives a personal pan pizza compliment of Pizza Hut.

Dem women

The Flathead Democratic women meet at noon, Feb. 28, at the Outlaw Inn in Kalispell. Guest speaker will be Flathead Valley Community College president Jane Karas. Call 257-4452 for more information.
