Chamber meets

The Columbia Falls Chamber of Commerce meets at noon, Feb. 8, at the North Valley Community Room. Guest speaker will be Tom Jentz.

Makeup Day

The makeup day for a lost day due to snow last month for School District 6 students will be Monday, Feb. 21.

Class of 2005

The Class of 2005 will have an organizational meeting for parents and students for graduation at 7 p.m., Feb.7, to plan the senior party. Call 892-2253 for more information.

Gospel meetings

Public gospel meetings take place 7:30 p.m. each Wednesday at the Senior Center in Columbia Falls.

Bowling benefit

A couple's bowling tourney to benefit the Community Kitchen here will take place the weekend of Feb. 11-13 at Glacier Lanes. Cost is $22 per couple. Call 892-5220 or 892-5858 to sign up.

Dean's list

Several local students have been named to the dean's list at the University of Idaho. They include Anne Wright, Benjamin Sturz, Michelle Bates and Brad Bennett.

Heritage Days

Dean's list

Melissa Hearn, of Columbia Falls, was named to the dean's list at University of Montana-Western.

Jazz cafe

The Columbians and The Jazz Factory will perform at 7 p.m., Friday, Feb 11. Event includes swing dance competition. Tickets are students $3, adults $5. Refreshments by Montana Coffee Traders will be served.

Rodeo benefit

The Western Life Enhancement Foundation and the Majestic Valley Arena will host a benefit Feb. 12 honoring the High School Rodeo Team. Complimentary beer, cash bar and dinner will begin at 4:30 p.m. PRCA Rodeo with VIP seating begins at 7 p.m. Also, a silent auction and raffle featuring cowboy, Western and rodeo memorabilia will take place. Ski-a-mile

The Nurturing Center will hold its annual ski-a-mile for the child's smile benefit Feb. 13, with, or without snow. Without snow it becomes a walk. Money raised helps the non-profit center with support groups and parent education. Call 756-1414 for more information.

Special Olympics

The Special Olympics winter games at Big Mountain needs volunteers to be ski buddies for the athletes as well as timers. Event will take place March 6,7 and 8. Call Karen Kimball at 837-0319 for more information.
