Theresa Burnham

Theresa F. Burnham, 99, died Dec. 19, 2005, at her residence in Kalispell. She was born Oct. 3, 1906, in Springfield, Mass., to Frank and Katherine T. (Fleming) Lyon.

Theresa received her primary and secondary schooling in Springfield. She then attended Northeastern University, in Springfield. After her schooling at Northeastern in 1928, she worked for the U.S. Forest Service in Lincoma, N.H.

She married Perley Burnham in Lincoma, N.H., and they moved to Washington, D.C., and later Alexandria, Va., until 1976, when they moved to Kalispell, where she remained until her passing. She was a member of St. Matthew's Parish.

She was preceded in death by her husband in October 2000 and by her daughter Judy in June 2004.

She is survived by her daughter Mary Olson, of Great Falls; son Dave Burnham, of Whitefish; grandchildren Tamara Olson, of Minneapolis, Christa Burnham, of Boise, Idaho, and Marc Burnham, of Whitefish; and six great granddaughters.

Mass of Christian Burial was held Dec. 23, 2005, at St. Matthew's Catholic Church, with Father Vic Langhans as celebrant. Committal followed at C.E. Conrad Memorial Cemetery.
